Hye-Jin Choi shot a 5-under 67 in Friday's second round of The Standard Portland Classic, moving to 11-under 133 and sitting one stroke behind leader Arpichaya Yubol at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.

Choi, who opened the tournament with a 6-under 66, carded an eagle and three birdies without a bogey to remain in the thick of contention through 36 holes. The 26-year-old from the Republic of Korea is tied for second, one shot back of Yubol's 12-under 132, with two rounds remaining at the par-72 course.

Choi's round came together on the front nine, where she turned in 32. After opening with four straight pars, she birdied the par-5 fifth hole to reach 7-under, then added another birdie on the par-4 sixth hole to climb to 8-under. She followed with the highlight of her day at the par-5 seventh hole, converting an eagle to jump to 10-under. Pars on eight and nine closed out the front side.

The back nine was steadier, with Choi picking up her lone birdie of the stretch on the par-5 12th hole to move to 11-under-par before playing out the final six holes in par to post her 67.

The performance continues a strong 2026 season for Choi, who has made 13 cuts in 17 starts and collected four top-10 finishes, including a tie for eighth at the Honda LPGA Thailand, a tie for fifth at the Blue Bay LPGA, a tie for third at the Mizuho Americas Open and a solo second at the Dow Championship. She currently ranks third on the LPGA Tour in top-25 finishes with 11.
