With the 2026 Tour schedule passing the halfway mark, Korda’s dominant season—highlighted by major titles at The Chevron Championship and the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally —has her commanding the Race to the CME Globe and Rolex Player of the Year standings. However, Ryu’s recent back-to-back major triumphs at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and The Amundi Evian Championship have closed the gap, setting up a thrilling duel for the tour's top awards and intensifying the pressure.

The competitive fire extends to the Tour’s fresh faces and rising stars. Japan's Erika Hara holds a 52-point cushion over the Republic of Korea's Youmin Hwang in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year race, while on the Epson Tour, rookie Lauren Olivares clings to a slim 121-point lead over Kaleiya Romero in a high-stakes, season-long Race for the Card. With only eight events remaining on the Epson Tour calendar and the top 15 players set to earn LPGA Tour cards, the sprint for 2027 LPGA membership is officially on.

Nelly Korda Leads LPGA Races With Four-Win Campaign

Nelly Korda has continued to dominate this season on the LPGA Tour, anchoring her campaign with four victories and five additional top-10 finishes across 11 starts. Korda, who has made the cut in 10 events this year, currently leads the Tour across multiple major statistical and award categories.

Her winning stretch began at the season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in January. She later captured major titles at The Chevron Championship in April and the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally in June, alongside a victory at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba in May.

The dominant play has propelled Korda to the top of the Race to the CME Globe standings with 3,412.625 points. She also leads the LPGA Tour in official money with $5,680,924 earned this season and maintains the field's lowest scoring average at 68.68 per round.

In the award races, Korda holds the top spot for Rolex Player of the Year with 225 points, leading second-place Haeran Ryu's 152 points. The margin is tighter in the Rolex ANNIKA Major Award standings, where Korda holds a narrow six-point lead over Ryu with 126 points, as both players have secured two major championship titles this season.

Ryu Rises to No. 3 in Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings Following Evian Victory

Haeran Ryu has captured two major wins in 2026, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June and The Amundi Evian Championship in July.

Ryu jumped up four spots in the world rankings after winning her second major championship of the season at The Amundi Evian Championship. She moved from No. 7 to No. 3 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings, the highest rank of her career.

It has been quite a year for Ryu. Just three weeks ago, she was celebrating her first major championship victory and first win of 2026 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Chaska, Minn., only to follow that victory last week at The Amundi Evian Championship in Evian-les-Bains, France. She has been playing solid golf and is one of the more dominant players on the LPGA Tour this year. She has made 11 cuts in 12 starts with eight top-10 finishes, including her two major titles.

Last week, Ryu's 60 in the third round became the lowest 18-hole score at a major championship in LPGA Tour history.

At 25, Ryu has accumulated 32 career top-10 finishes, including five wins, and has earned more than $9.9 million since joining the LPGA Tour in 2023. This season, the Korean native is making significant progress. She is currently ranked second in the Rolex Player of the Year race, second in the Race to the CME Globe standings with 2,252.798 points, second in scoring average (69.40) and second on the Official Money List with $4,167,471 in season earnings.

Erika Hara Leads Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Standings

Epson Tour graduate Erika Hara leads the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings following a 14th-place finish at The Amundi Evian Championship, the fourth major of the 2626 LPGA Tour season.

The Japan native currently holds a 52-point lead over the Republic of Korea’s Youmin Hwang.

While Hara remains winless so far in the 2026 season, she has secured three top-10 finishes. Her performance this year includes a tie for ninth at the Mizuho Americas Open, a tie for ninth at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba and a tie for 10th at the Blue Bay LPGA.

Hara earned her 2026 LPGA Tour membership by finishing fifth in the Epson Tour’s Race for the Card standings in 2025. During her rookie season on the Epson Tour, she made 17 cuts in 18 starts and recorded nine top-10 finishes, including a victory at the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic.

Other notable career highlights for Hara include winning the Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship twice, in 2020 and 2023, as well as the 2020 Japan LPGA Tour Championship. She also competed in the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open and tied for 16th at the 2024 Honda LPGA Thailand.

With Two Months to Go, the Roster Race for the 2026 Solheim Cup Tightens

With less than two months until the Solheim Cup at Bernardus in the Netherlands, the race for spots on both the U.S. and European rosters is intensifying following The Amundi Evian Championship.

While the leaderboard standings remained steady after the major action in France, notable point gains and rankings shifts have brought a clearer picture to both squads ahead of the August cutoffs.

For the U.S. Team, captained by Angela Stanford, Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 Nelly Korda remains the only player to officially clinch her spot on the team. Behind her, point earners made incremental moves to secure their positions in the top seven. In third, Jennifer Kupcho added 105 points with a T16 finish in France, while No. 4 Auston Kim earned 153 points after her second consecutive top-10 major finish. Andrea Lee maintained her hold on the No. 8 spot, earning 69 points with a T22 finish.

The biggest shakeup for the Americans came via the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. Megan Khang dropped to No. 71 in the world after missing the cut at the Evian, allowing Alison Lee (No. 62) to replace her as the fourth-highest player in the world rankings not otherwise eligible. Under current standings, Andrea Lee (No. 34) and Lindy Duncan (No. 56) hold the two automatic world ranking spots, with Jenny Bae and Alison Lee next in line.

The U.S. qualification period—which will see the top seven in points, the top two from the world rankings, and three captain's picks make the team—will conclude at the CPKC Women’s Open, Aug. 20-23.

Across the Atlantic, European Captain Anna Nordqvist's roster is also taking shape. Charley Hull and Chiara Tamburlini currently hold the two automatic Ladies European Tour (LET) points spots.

The six automatic qualifiers via the world rankings are currently led by Lottie Woad at Rolex Rankings No. 5, followed by Maja Stark (No. 24), Celine Boutier (No. 31), Carlota Ciganda (No. 43), Linn Grant (No. 45), and Esther Henseleit (No. 51). Nanna Koerstz Madsen (No. 61) and Leona Maguire (No. 82) sit just outside the automatic world ranking bubble.

The European team, which includes four captain's picks alongside the eight automatic qualifiers, faces a tighter timeline. The final cutoff for the European squad is the AIG Women’s Open, scheduled for July 30 to Aug. 2.

With both the LPGA and LET off this week, players will have their next opportunities to move the needle at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open ahead of the final major of the season.

The 2026 Solheim Cup will take place Sept. 11-13 at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands.

Inside the Race for the Card: Standout Rookies and Fierce Competition

With eight events remaining in the 2026 Epson Tour season, Lauren Olivares, a 2026 Epson Tour rookie, has a slim lead for the top spot in the Tour’s season-long Race for the Card, holding 1,432.817 points—only 121.750 points ahead of another rookie, Kaleiya Romero.

The 22-year-old Mexico native Olivares has put together a standout rookie campaign, making 11 cuts in 11 starts while leading both the Player of the Year and the Gaelle Truet Rookie of the Year standings. Olivares, who played collegiately at North Carolina State University, has earned seven top-10 finishes this season, highlighted by her first professional victory at the Great Lakes Championship at the Highlands in June.

Romero, 24, sits second in the Race for the Card standings after assembling a highly consistent season, making 10 cuts in 11 starts with five top-10 finishes. Her stellar campaign is highlighted by her first official Epson Tour victory at the 2026 Island Resort Championship. Before turning professional, Romero competed collegiately at Pepperdine University, where she was a four-time All-West Coast Conference First Team selection and a four-time WGCA All-American Scholar recipient.

With a solo third-place finish in South Bend, Ind., People’s Republic of China native Liqi Zeng gained a position in the standings, now sitting 246.937 points behind Olivares. The competition is fierce, with Amari Avery in fourth place with 1,147.717 points after earning four top-10 finishes, including a win at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa this season.

Rounding out the top five is Annabelle Pancake-Webb, who has 908.483 points and has made the cut in 11 of 12 starts while earning five top-10 results.

The Race for the Card is a season-long points competition in which Epson Tour members accumulate points in every official Epson Tour tournament. The ultimate goal is to finish in the top 15 in the points standings to earn LPGA Tour membership for the 2027 season.
