CHASKA, Minn — Last season’s Ladies European Tour Order of Merit winner, Shannon Tan, recorded a hole-in-one during Friday’s second round at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Chaska, Minn.

The Singapore native aced the 169-yard, par-3 fourth hole at Hazeltine National Golf Club in the second round with her 6-iron, which was her first hole-in-one in both LPGA Tour competition and in a major championship.

The ace was the highlight of an up-and-down round two for Tan, who finished the day at even par and is in a good position ahead of the weekend. Her Friday 72 had a bit of everything, as she made six bogeys that were offset by her ace and four birdies. She hit 11 of 14 fairways, 11 of 18 greens in regulation and only needed 29 putts to finish the round.

Tan’s hole-in-one on No. 4 Friday followed Amanda Doherty's ace on No. 17 Thursday, which marks the first time the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship has had multiple aces since 2018. That year, both Lexi Thompson and Brittany Marchand had holes-in-one during the first round of the Championship at Kemper Lakes Golf Club.

Beyond improving her position on the leaderboard, the Paris Olympian’s hole-in-one will also result in a $20,000 donation made on her behalf to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by CME Group as part of the CME Group Cares Challenge - Score 1 for St. Jude.

The challenge is a season-long charitable program that turns holes-in-one into donations for childhood cancer treatment and research; Tan’s ace marks the 13th contribution made to St. Jude in 2026, bringing the total to $260,000.

This is the fourth LPGA tournament this season with multiple aces, joining the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass (Jenny Bae, Nasa Hataoka), Mizuho Americas Open (Saki Baba, Minami Katsu), and Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give (Minji Kang, Julia Lopez Ramirez).

The Singaporean has earned three career wins on the LET: the 2024 Magical Kenya Ladies Open, the 2025 Amundi German Masters and the 2025 Hero Women's Indian Open.
