Somi Lee shot a 2-under-par 70 in Saturday's third round of the FM Championship, moving into a tie for fourth at TPC Boston and putting herself three shots behind the lead heading into the final round.

Lee began the day tied for ninth at 6-under 138 and turned in 8-under 208, three strokes back of Ruoning Yin who leads at 12-under 204.

The Republic of Korea native opened her round on the front nine and wasted little time getting to work. A birdie on the par-5 second hole pushed her to 7-under for the tournament, and she followed with another on the par-3 third hole to reach 8-under. After a pair of pars, she birdied the sixth hole to climb to 9-under before a bogey on the par-5 seventh hole pulled her back to 8-under. She played the eighth and ninth in par to turn in 34. The back nine was steadier: Lee hopped on the par-train from holes 10 through 17 before closing with a par on the par-5 18th hole to post her 70 and finish the day at 8-under overall.

The 27-year-old is looking for her first individual LPGA Tour title. Her lone career win came at the 2025 Dow Championship, a team event she captured alongside playing partner Jin Hee Im, who finished at 7-under 209 today.

Lee has previous history at the FM Championship, finishing tied for 15th at 7-under 281 in 2024. Saturday's round put her in position for her best finish at the event.

The result continues a solid season for Lee, who has made 14 cuts in 18 starts and collected seven top-10 finishes, including a tie for third at the Dow Championship, a fourth-place finish at the Honda LPGA Thailand and a tie for 10th at the Amundi Evian Championship, one of the LPGA's five majors. She has also posted top-10s at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, the Shoprite LPGA powered by Wakefern, the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give and the Standard Portland Classic, though a first win of the season has so far eluded her.

With 18 holes remaining Sunday at TPC Boston, Lee will look to build on her third-round momentum and close the four-shot gap. A bogey-free finish and a continuation of the putting touch she showed on the front nine could put her in the mix for her first individual Tour victory.
