Career
Amateur
Pearson laid the groundwork for her professional career as a Minnesota amateur. She captured the Minnesota State Junior in 1972 and 1973 and was a quarter-finalist the following year in the USGA Girls Junior. An All-American golfer in 1978 at Florida International University, Pearson also was a semi-finalist in the 1978 Doherty Challenge Cup and a runner-up in the 1979 USGA Public Links Championship.
