Career Highlights

Has experienced health problems throughout her career.

In 1988, she had to take some time off of the Tour due to recurring lower back problems.

1987 was Hill’s most successful financial season, when she won her second career title at the USX Golf Classic.

Finished in the top 10 six times in 1987.

Hill’s career-low round of 65 originally was posted at the 1986 LPGA Corning Classic and since then has been duplicated once, at the 1987 United Virginia Bank Classic.

Joined the Tour in 1979.

Her first victory was at the 1984 Rail Charity Golf Classic.

In 1986, she lost to Juli Inkster in a sudden-death playoff at the Lady Keystone Open.

Amateur
Hill played amateur golf until age 31 and throughout her career accumulated an extraordinary number of amateur honors. She represented the United States on four Curtis Cup teams and three World Cup teams. She won her most prestigious title, the U.S. Women’s Amateur, in 1974 and was a finalist in the championship in 1970 and 1972.
