Sweeney started playing golf at the age of 13 years old. She also enjoys cooking, baking and playing other sports.
Career
- Played on the Epson Tour in 2012 and 2013.
- Competed in the 2006 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.
- 2007 AJGA All-American Honorable Mention selection.
- Competed in the 2007 Women's British Open.
- Named Golfweek First Team All-American & Big 12 Newcomer of the Year in first season as Oklahoma State University.
- Member of the 2009 Pac-10 and NCAA National Championship team while at Arizona State University.
- Garnered NGCA Honorable Mention All-American and Golfweek Third Team All-American honors in 2010.
- Named 2010 Second Team All-Pac 10 and Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention.
- Co-medalist at the 2010 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.
