Career
Despite joining the Tour at mid-season, Ferraris was named LPGA Rookie-of-the-Year in 1966. A 1969 playoff loss to Carol Mann at the Tournament of Champions preceded her first pro victory. She defeated Sandra Haynie and Betsy Rawls by one shot to claim the $3,000 first prize at the 1971 Orange Blossom Classic in St. Petersburg, Florida. Ferraris earned another one shot victory the following season - over Betty Burfeindt - at the Lady Pepsi Open in Atlanta. Tendonitis in both her hands has hampered her game since the late ‘70’s. That ailment and additional emphasis on teacher limited her to five 1983 appearances.
Amateur
Ferraris was a dominant golfer in California before turning pro. She won the Northern California junior title from 1960 through 1963, the Los Angeles and San Francisco junior titles from 1962 through 1965, the Western Junior in 1963 and 1964 and the United States Junior in 1963.
