Career
The 1986 LPGA season saw a dramatic decline for Kohlhaas. In the 23 tournaments she entered, she managed to reach the final round in only five and failed to record a top-50 finish. Her accumulation of $1,810 earnings in 1986 contrasts with the $10,000-plus seasons she has enjoyed since 1981, her first full season on Tour, and represents less than 10 percent of the $18,712 she won in 1985. Having recorded three top-10 finishes during her rookied season in 1981, Kohlhaas went on to make 1982 her most successful LPGA campaign by taking eight top-20 places and banking $32,655 for the year. Her career-best finish came at the 1985 Women’s Kemper Open, where she tied for fourth. Three months later, Kohlhaas carded her career-low round of 68 at the McDonald’s Championship.

Amateur
A successful amateur career was highlighted by victories in the 1977 Hawaii State Amateur and 1979 Mexican Amateur. In addition, Kohlhaas was runner-up in the ‘79 AIAW National Collegiate Championship and was honored as a 1980 All-American at Arizona State University.
