Amateur
Delk’s junior golf achievements were amassed in Florida, where she lived for 23 years before moving to Georgia. She won the Florida State Junior Championship in 1979 and the Florida Women’s State Championship in 1984. She claimed quarterfinalist honors in the North-South Amateur in 1983. While attending Furman University in South Carolina, Delk was a 1980-83 Regional All-American. She qualified for three U.S. Women’s Opens as an amateur and recorded a hole-in-one during the 1983 U.S. Women’s Open.
