Career
McMullen’s steady career includes four second place tournaments and finishes among the top 40 money winners every year from 1974-1980. Those runner-up tournaments include the 1977 Talk Tournament, the 1975 Colgate Dinah Shore, the 1974 Cubic Classic and the 1973 George Washington Open. During the 1975 Dinah Shore event, McMullen posted her career low 66. Perhaps her greatest professional achievement was her solo third at the 1980 U.S. Women’s Open. Although she finished out of the top 40 in 1981, she finished with top 10 finishes in her last three events of the season. In her 11th year in 1982, she broke into the win column by teaming with Sandra Haynie at the Portland Ping Team Championship (an unofficial money event). She underwent knee surgery in July, 1983 after playing in 18 tournaments. A T11 at the Elizabeth Arden Classic was her best finish of the year. Due to the 1983 surgery, McMullen’s 1984 season was shortened to 16 events. A T21 at the United Virginia Bank Classic was her year’s best.

Amateur
A quarter-finalist at the 1968 Trans-Mississippi, McMullen captured the 1969 All-American Junior Championship.
