Amateur
Bemvenuti was the 1989-91 Brazilian amateur champion and a 10-year member of the Brazilian National Team. During her collegiate career at the University of Georgia, she was selected as the 1990-91 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Freshman of the Year, was a 1991 All-American, was the runner-up at the 1991 SEC Championship and placed sixth at the 1991 NCAA Championship. She was named a 1992 Academic All-American.
