Career
Dwyer is in her 20th season on the LPGA Tour. She has cut back her playing schedule during the past three years and participated in 12 events in 1989. Her best finish last year was a tie for 35th at the Chrysler-Plymouth Classic. During the off-season, Dwyer is the teaching professional at Tamarisk Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. Dwyer’s career-best finish is a tie for second at the 1978 Colgate European Open. The following year proved her most successful financially with $36,679 in earnings. In addition, she won the inaugural Gold Putter Award in 1979 and the $25,000 check that was given to the player with the lowest putts per round average in a single season.

Amateur
An All-American at the University of Miami, Dwyer took up golf at the age of 11. She won the New York State Amateur in 1968 and 1969 and was a member of the 1969 and 1970 AIAW Championship teams at Miami. Dwyer won individual honors in the Florida Collegiate Championship in 1969.
