5’8”…Attended Lamar University where she was an excellent tennis player. Her golf game developed after a chance meeting with noted California instructor Vernon Brown while she was working at the Houston Astrodome.

Career Highlights

  • The 24-year veteran joined the Tour in 1971 and in 1973 underwent two surgeries for tendonitis in her left arm.
  • She collected her first victory at the 1975 Wheeling Classic.
  • She posted her career-low round of 65 at the 1982 Rail Charity Golf Classic.
  • Her most successful financial year was 1982 when she earned $40,172.

    McAllister had limited amateur experience although she did win the Beaumont, Texas City title in 1968. Later, she moved to California where she qualified as an amateur to compete in several LPGA tournaments.
