    Among Hession’s numerous Indiana golf trophies are the 1973 State Junior, 1974 State High School, 1977 State Amateur and 1978 Indianapolis City titles. While at Southern Methodist University, she won several events as captain of the 1979 AIAW National Championship team and was named an All-American.
