2023 TOTO Japan Classic winner Mone Inami has officially accepted LPGA Tour Membership for the 2024 season.
The Olympic silver medalist won her first LPGA Tour title two weeks ago in her home country and didn’t accept the immediate membership she was offered as part of her non-member victory, instead deferring status until 2024. Because her membership will not be effective until 2024, the 24-year-old is not considered to be a 2023 Rolex First-Time Winner.
Inami had until 5 p.m. on November 27 to accept or decline membership. She is now eligible to compete in the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions provided she completes the membership application process in time.
The TOTO Japan Classic was Inami’s fifth start on the LPGA Tour, and the win was her 13th JLPGA victory. Inami, who is named after French painter Claude Monet, took home silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after defeating Lydia Ko in a playoff at Kasumigaseki Country Club.
