LPGA*USGA Girls Golf eLeader
First Tee Raritan Valley
My dad introduced me to golf and I have been playing on and off all of my life, but started playing competitively in 2019, my freshman year.
I recommend golf because there are so many amazing young women who play; I have made so many connections through golf and found amazing friendships from the sport. Golf is also a sport that you can play your whole life, and even my grandparents go out on the golf course and play every day. The sport also allows you to make connections in the business world and can be a great asset in future careers.
Golf can be more welcoming to Asian girls through representation. I think it is amazing that the LPGA posts on the web and social media about all of the players, and that a large amount of these players are Asian American women. Just by watching more Asian girls play professionally in tournaments inspires me to play.
