In winning her first major championship, Ko became the youngest in the history of the LPGA to do so at 18 years, 4 months and 20 days, eclipsing Morgan Pressel who previously held the record with her victory at the 2007 ANA Inspiration at 18 years, 10 months and 9 days. Ko finished the week at 16-under par, six strokes ahead of Lexi Thompson who finished solo second.
