Ryu is a six-time winner on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) where she was a rookie in 2008.

Amateur Highlights

As an amateur, Ryu was a member of the Korean National Golf Team from 2005-2007 and she won a gold medal for Korea, both in individual and team events, in the 2006 Asian Games that were played in Doha, Qatar.
