Welcome to the LPGA Foundation

The LPGA Foundation supports women and young people through programs and initiatives aimed at empowering them through the game of golf. Since its founding, The LPGA Foundation has touched more than 500,000 lives through various scholarship and financial assistance programs, along with its flagship junior golf program, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf.

The LPGA Foundation was established in 1991 and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which supports junior golf programs, scholarships, and financial assistance programs for women and young ladies.

The LPGA Foundation has four main goals:

  1. to develop and maintain junior golf programs across the country
  2. to develop and maintain scholarship programs for junior golfers
  3. to maintain a financial assistance fund for those in the golf industry
  4. and to conduct research and develop educational activities related to golf instruction

Since its inception, The LPGA Foundation has created and supported a number of programs to achieve those objectives. LPGA*USGA Girls Golf, one of the Foundation's programs, has established The LPGA Foundation as a leader in the golf industry in youth initiatives.

Our Mission

"To empower, inspire, and transform the lives of girls and women through the game of golf."

LPGA*USGA Girls Golf (Girls Golf)

The only national initiative of its kind, Girls Golf is administered through a partnership between The LPGA Foundation and the United States Golf Association (USGA), and is aimed at introducing girls to the game of golf and empowering them with confidence, friendships, and life skills.

Throughout its 30-year history, Girls Golf has empowered a total of more than 500,000 girls through golf — now impacting 90,000 more young women each year. More than 500 Girls Golf programs are operated by local site directors and golf professionals in communities across the country. These program directors (along with the assistance of staff, coaches, and/or volunteers) coordinate golf clinics, professional instruction, outings, competitive events, and social activities for their members.
