The 2012 LPGA Tour season recently came to a close at the CME Group Titleholders allowing players a bit of a reprieve from countless hours of practice and grueling travel schedules. While most players are taking vacations, 10-time LPGA Tour winner Suzann Pettersen dabbled briefly in the television industry on Tuesday when she co-hosted an hour of Golf Channel’s Morning Drive.
Pettersen arrived bright and early to Golf Channel’s Orlando studio and was immediately whisked away to hair and makeup where she emphasized the importance of keeping it “natural” to the make-up artist.
After a brief stint in the hair and make-up chair, Pettersen signed the Morning Drive banner that hangs just outside the studio before heading in to prepare for the show alongside co-hosts Gary Williams and Damon Hack.
Known for her intense competitive nature inside the ropes, Pettersen’s jovial manner and quick wit off the links were the stars of the show once the cameras began to roll. The Oslo, Norway native was asked a variety of questions ranging from her thoughts on a playoff system for the LPGA to golf in the 2012 Olympics, but Pettersen managed to throw in a few quick jabs about Hack’s high handicap.
Pettersen’s appearance on Morning Drive comes just before she jets off to Taiwan for the Swinging Skirts, her final tournament of 2012. The 31-year-old will then home to Norway to enjoy some well-deserved time off after a season that included two wins and four additional top-10 finishes. And first on her list of activities when she’s back in Norway? Skiing, of course.
