Lizette Salas reacts after a birdie putt on the 15th hole during the final round of the LPGA LOTTE Championship Presented by J Golf at the Ko Olina Golf Club.

Lizette Salas saw a move within the top-50 on the Rolex Rankings this week moving up 15 spot to No. 22.

If it seems like Lizette Salas’ name keeps appearing near the top of the leaderboard each week, that’s because it has been showing up quite frequently this year. In each of the last four events on Tour (the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup, the Kia Classic, the Kraft Nabisco and the LPGA LOTTE Championship), Salas has entered the final round in the top 5 on the leaderboard.

So far it hasn’t translated to a victory but there is no doubt in the Southern California native’s mind that she will be getting there soon.

“I just  want to win,” Salas said. “I don't play here just to travel the world.  I'm here to win championships and I'm here to change the world of golf. So if people have something bad to say, then they can say it to me.  I'll gladly take criticism.  But that's not going to stop me from achieving my goals.  I'm here to fight, and that's why I went to USC, we fight on.”
