How I began golf
Well I tell people that I was a bit of a "late bloomer" since I didn't start competing until I was about nine years old. The best man I know - and biggest mentor I have - shared his love of the game with me. My grandfather, who I call Jimbo, tried starting each of my three sisters, but I was the only one that took! And as a young girl, it was always the highlight of my day to go hit golf balls or putt with Jimbo. At my home course, there was a small chipping green off the fourth hole and nearly every night we would chip and putt for hours. And some things will never change, because now every time I go home I still look forward to those practice sessions with him. I look back at when I first started and had no idea I'd be playing on the LPGA because at the time it was just my time with my best friend. And because of him, I get to travel the world competing against the all time best! It doesn't get much better!
