Thanks to the generosity of our friends at Snikiddy, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf members Martha Kemp-Nielson of New Rochelle, NY and Nadia Turner of Prior Lake, MN had the opportunity to participate in the 2013 Girls Golf Team Championship at Kiawah Island! Both Martha and Nadia are members of both their local LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program who pride themselves on engaging and giving back to their communities. Nadia spearheaded fundraisers including a donation drive for collecting hygiene products to donate to battered women’s shelters, and conducted a “Hoola-Hooping for Haiti” street campaign. Martha participates in beach cleaning projects with her local Girl Scouts troop and serves as a role model for younger members at her local chapter of The First Tee.
Both girls have been empowered and energized by the game of golf. Martha shares her passion for the game by inviting her friends to become members of Girls Golf and encouraging her family to play the game, and Nadia aspires to play on the women’s golf team at Harvard.
These girls have very bright futures ahead of them and we can’t thank Snikiddy enough for becoming a “Champion Fore Girls Golf” and helping us change lives one swing at a time!
