Kraft Nabisco Championship to Celebrate 40 Years in the Desert next week

What to See and Do at the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF. (March 24, 2011) - Will Yani Tseng repeat? Will Karrie Webb join Amy Alcott, Betsy King and Annika Sorenstam as a three-time champion? Or will a new star emerge at the first LPGA major of the year?

The 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship kicks off Monday, March 28, and runs through Sunday, April 3, at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. In addition to championship golf featuring the best women players in the world, the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship will celebrate its 40th anniversary with an all-star Celebrity Pro-Am, the Fresh & Easy Dinah Shore Charity Pro-Am featuring LPGA legends and Hall of Famers, the new Legends Club, nightly concerts, a BookPALS "Reading on the Green" event for kids, and free golf clinics and instruction.

Monday
Contestant practice rounds

Tuesday

Celebrity Pro-Am with more than 40 stars from sports, movies and television, held in conjunction with the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. Cameras welcome.
BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) "Reading on the Green" event with more than 1,000 youngsters expected to attend. The event begins at 9 a.m. on the 18th green of the Dinah Shore Tournament Course and will feature readings by LPGA players, Cheech Marin and Mary Hart.

Wednesday

Second day of Celebrity Pro-Am. Cameras welcome.

Thursday

First round of championship play
LPGA Front Row Experience - 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Free golf lessons for the general public from a certified LPGA teaching professional.
Legends Club opens. New this year, the Legends Club will be open from 9 a.m. to the end of championship play each day. The club features grounds access, a buffet, complimentary Coca-Cola products, free on-site parking, free programs and pairings sheets, and a no-host cash bar serving alcoholic beverages. Both indoor and outdoor seating in a clubhouse environment with a patio, air conditioning, upscale restrooms and big-screen televisions carrying the live tournament broadcast will be set up throughout the club.
Michelob Ultra 19th Hole - Once play concludes, the Legends Club becomes the Michelob Ultra 19th Hole with free admission. The venue will feature a concert each night by the Los Angeles band "Helicopter" and closes at 9 p.m.

Friday

Second round of championship play

Saturday

Third round of championship play
Fresh & Easy Dinah Shore Charity Pro-Am featuring LPGA legends and Hall of Famers. Shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. on the Arnold Palmer Course at Mission Hills Country Club.
Free LPGA Junior Golf Clinic - ages 7 through 17
2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the driving range
LPGA Front Row Experience - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday

Final round of championship play
Trophy presentation ceremonies at 18th green immediately following completion of play

For the second year, the Kraft Nabisco Championship is offering the Integrated Wealth Management "TICKETS Fore CHARITY" program in which 100 percent of the proceeds from advance ticket sales will be donated to more than 150 participating charities. Advance tickets are still available through participating charities and at Lumpy's in Palm Desert. When purchasing tickets, fans will be asked to designate a charity to receive the proceeds. Advance tickets are priced at $20 for any one-day ticket, $100 for a six-pack of tickets and $180 for a 12-pack. Tickets at the gate are $30, $150 for a six-pack and $270 for a 12-pack. Active members of the military will receive free admission at the gate with military identification. Children 17 and under are free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Shuttle service begins operation on Tuesday, March 29.
