Three players – Katie Futcher, Kristy McPherson and Vicky Hurst – will make a last-ditch effort to unseat Christina Kim who is currently No. 10 in the U.S. Solheim Cup standings. The Safeway Classic Presented by Coca-Cola is the last chance for American-born LPGA players to make the team which will be officially named by Captain Rosie Jones Sunday night after play. The top-nine players in the standings are already assured a spot on the team including 51-year old Juli Inkster who will become the first playing assistant captain in Solheim Cup history.
