While attending Indiana University, Bordner recorded two collegiate wins, including the 2004 Big Ten Championship and was named the 2004 Indiana University Female Athlete of the Year. She was the two-time winner of the Indiana Female Player of the Year Award (2001, 2004) and the PGA Indiana Women's Open (2004-2007).
