Now that their rookie season is under their belts and they have had a chance to reflect on the year, LPGA.com caught up with several rookies for a quick Q&A.
Inbee Park’s impressive second-half surge continued on Thursday in the first round of the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship (@taiwanlpga). Park fired a 7-under 65 to take a two-shot lead over Rolex Rankings No. 1 and Taiwan native Yani Tseng (@YaniTseng) after 18 holes of play at the Sunrise Golf & Country Club. Park tallied seven birdies in her bogey-free opening round and she has now shot under par in each of her last eight rounds in LPGA events.
Rolex Rankings No. 18 Paula Creamer (@ThePCreamer) is in contention to break a two-year winless drought after shooting a third-round, 6-under 65 to take the lead at the Kingsmill Championship. Creamer’s 16-under-par three-day total marks the lowest since the start of the Kingsmill Championship in 2003.
Rolex Rankings No. 13 Jiyai Shin (@sjy1470) moved one step closer to getting herself back in the winner’s circle on Friday, shooting a 3-under 68 to capture the second-round lead at the Kingsmill Championship.
