Following a mediocre performance in 1982, Mant carded rounds of 72-69-71 at the 1983 Rail Charity Classic to tie for third place, her career-best position, and earned the largest check of her career ($8,000).

Mant made Oregon her amateur domain from 1967 through 1970 capturing five titles: the 1967 Oregon Junior Girl’s Championship, the 1968, ‘69 and ‘70 Oregon Amateur and the 1968 Pacific Northwest Amateur. Mant won the 1970 Women’s National Intercollegiate (NCAA).
