Five-time LPGA Tour winner Na Yeon Choi will have an opportunity to capture the biggest victory of her career, as she carries a six-stroke lead into Sunday’s final round of the 67th U.S. Women’s Open. Choi, who is ranked fifth in the Rolex Rankings, put on a masterful display on the Championship Course at Blackwolf Run Saturday by firing a 7-under 65. Choi’s round tied Karrie Webb (1997) and Judy Clark (1985) for the lowest 3rd round score in U.S. Women’s Open history and only four lower rounds have ever been recorded in the history of the championship.

After shooting a second-round 4-under-par 68 on Friday, Suzann Pettersen will carry a one-stroke lead into the weekend at the 67th U.S. Women’s Open Championship at Blackwolf Run. Pettersen carded five birdies on the day with her only bogey coming on the par 4 No. 4, leaving her at -5 for the championship. 2007 U.S. Women’s Open champ Cristie Kerr and Rolex Rankings No. 40 Michelle Wie sit one stroke back at 4-under par. A trio of players are currently at 3-under par after 36 holes of play including 2008 U.S. Women’s Open champion Inbee Park, Vicky Hurst and Sandra Gal.

Look out for the Red, White & Blue!  There was a patriotic feel to the top of the leaderboard at the 2012 U.S. Women's Open as three Americans -- LPGA rookie Lizette Salas, 2007 U.S. Women's Open champion Cristie Kerr and five-time LPGA winner Brittany Lincicome - were tied for the first-round lead.

The 67th annual U.S. Women's Open conducted by the USGA takes place at the vaunted Blackwolf Run Golf Course in Kohler, Wisconsin this week, marking the second time the course plays host to the major championship.

The last time Michelle Wie went home to play in a professional golf tournament, she was still engrossed in studies at Stanford University.
