Lexi Thompson
2013 champion of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational, Lexi Thompson enters this week in search of her third win of the year. Thompson captured the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship just four weeks ago for her second win of the year, then took some time off after her victory before finishing T-6 at last week’s TOTO JAPAN CLASSIC. She’ll look to continue the momentum she’s had in recent weeks with four top-10’s in her last eight starts in addition to two wins.
Inbee Park
World No.2 Inbee Park returns to the Tour in what will be her first start since withdrawing from the Blue Bay LPGA with a cyst on her finger. Park has played well in Mexico, posting three top-4 finishes in her last three starts, including a third place finish last year. She’s bound to be motivated to close in on Lydia Ko who leads her by just 33 points in the Player of the Year standings.
Sei Young Kim
Having already clinched this year's Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year award, Sei Young Kim makes her first start in Mexico this week. Kim is a three-time winner this season and has posted 7 top-10 finishes in her first year on Tour. She’ll be well rested this week having skipped last week’s TOTO JAPAN CLASSIC.
Suzann Pettersen
Since this event was started in 2008, Suzann Pettersen has teed it up each and every year. Her great play in this event has kept her coming back for more, posting 3 top-10 finishes. She has played some great golf of late, finishing in the top-10 in her last three starts.
Angela Stanford
Having lost in a playoff at last week’s TOTO JAPAN CLASSIC, Angela Stanford will be looking to hoist the trophy this time around. Stanford has what it takes to get it done, having won this event in 2008 in addition to three other top-10’s in Mexico.
