I've followed LPGA at times through the years but everything changed after our first visit to an LPGA event...the Cambia Portland Classic. We drove 200 miles to the tournament site on Friday with friends and our 7-year old grandson Jayden. We all golf including Jayden who started when he was four years old. Columbia Edgewater Country Club is beautiful but we were taken immediately by how we felt welcomed (a golf cart ride from parking, fun activities from Cambia at the entrance, fan friendly players, lots of seating, fun food choices. Jayden approached several golfers for autographs and we loved their kindness and accessibility. He has fond memories of his visit and was interested in the televised final round Sunday. My wife has never followed LPGA but by her reaction, you've gained one more fan.
Special thanks to Amy Anderson and Cheyenne Woods who took the time for a photo with our grandson. It was our first LPGA event and it was great. We'll be back and we now plan to tune in more often to television LPGA events.

Just wanted to say thank you again for recommending to Sean that I play in the pro-am. It was a great day! Laetitia Beck is an incredible player and a very sweet young woman. I have never been in a group where everyone interacted so well with the pro. She very subtly made a point of singling out every player and spending time chatting with them. Witnessing some of the shots she made, she should have quite a future on the tour! Without her long game, we couldn’t have won! Thank you for a great day on the course!
