So Yeon Ryu, Cristie Kerr, Mo Martin
Friday - 8:25 a.m. – 10th Tee
So Yeon Ryu is coming off her sixth top-10 of the season at last week’s Meijer LPGA Classic, looking to pick up her first win since 2014. Ryu has three starts at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, her best finish coming in 2013 when she finished second. Ryu is the newest member of the UL International Crown team representing Korea, replacing friend Inbee Park who withdrew due to a thumb injury. Ryu will play alongside Cristie Kerr, who has three top-20 finishes in Arkansas and Mo Martin, who is looking to pick up her second top-10 finish of the season.
In Gee Chun, Brittany Lincicome, Brooke Henderson
Friday – 8:36 a.m. – 10th Tee
In Gee Chun and Brooke Henderson make their first start at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship this week. Chun picked up her fifth top-3 finish of the season last week at the Meijer LPGA Classic. New world No.2, Henderson, won the season’s second major two weeks ago at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and is in the hunt for her 11th top-10 finish of the year. Brittany Lincicome is the final member of this group, a veteran compared to her playing partners, making her tenth start this week in Arkansas.
Stacy Lewis, Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee
Friday – 8:47 a.m. – 10th Tee
Former champion of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, Stacy Lewis, returns to the site of her last win in 2014 in hopes of returning to the winner’s circle. Lewis has four top-10 finishes in this event but has struggled in recent weeks, finishing outside the top-50 in her last two starts. World No.1 Lydia Ko also plays well in Arkansas where she hasn’t finished outside the top-6 in three starts in this event. Minjee Lee makes just her second start in Arkansas after finishing in a share of sixth last season.
Ariya Jutanugarn, Paula Creamer, Jessica Korda
Friday - 1:47 p.m. – 1st Tee
After sweeping the Tour in the month of May, Ariya Jutanugarn has continued to play some great golf, finishing third at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship before posting a T-18 finish at last week’s Meijer LPGA Classic. But Jutanugarn has struggled in Arkansas where she missed the cut last season and finished T-64 in 2014. She will play the opening rounds alongside Paula Creamer and Jessica Korda. Creamer has three top-10 finishes in Arkansas but has struggled in recent weeks, missing the cut in four of her last five starts. Korda hasn’t found much success in Arkanasas where she will look to break into the top-20 for the first time.
