Two new LPGA brand campaign spots will hit the airwaves on June 30 during Golf Channel’s broadcast of the Cambia Portland Classic Presented by JTBC. The two spots, titled '#AweSummer' and 'Hit it Big', celebrate the sixth year of the LPGA’s successful “See Why it’s Different Out Here” campaign.
Both spots celebrate the personalities, athleticism and work ethic of the LPGA’s biggest stars while highlighting why the women’s game is so unique. The “See Why it’s Different Out Here” campaign summarizes the LPGA’s global business approach while showcasing the accessibility of our players.
The first spot, titled “Hit It Big”, features Olympian and superstar golfer Lexi Thompson as the narrator while six other LPGA players appear in the spot. The ad showcases the athleticism and work ethic of the new young stars on the LPGA as they chase greatness.
The second spot, titled “AweSummer”, ties into the Golf Channel campaign and celebrates the unprecedented number of big events on the LPGA this summer – the kind of summer that makes you a legend. This summer there are 14 events, 4 majors, the UL International Crown and the Olympics making it a career-defining summer for some players.
Both spots were created by Divot Group, started last year by ex CP+B and GSD&M creative directors Rich Tlapek and Scott Macgregor, along with former PGA Tour VP of Advertising Kent Simon.
