Free Junior Clinic for kids 17 and under to be held Saturday of Tournament week
NAPLES, Fla. (October 4, 2016) – The CME Group Tour Championship and PNC Bank are proud to announce the PNC Family Clinic, a free junior clinic to be held on Saturday, November 19 at Tiburón Golf Club during the LPGA’s season finale. The PNC Family Clinic hosted by LPGA-USGA Girls Golf will provide a unique opportunity for junior participants to learn the basic skills of golf or develop their game.
“We look forward to providing children and their families the opportunity to come together through the game of golf,” said Chad Loar, PNC Regional President, Florida. “The PNC Father/Son Challenge event, held in Orlando each December, has become a tradition for families and we’re excited to join the CME Group Tour Championship to help build upon family tradition and youth golf.”
Children ages 17 and under are invited inside the ropes for hands-on instruction from LPGA teaching professionals. The PNC Family Clinic will provide the opportunity to meet LPGA players and introduce junior participants to the Five E’s of Girls Golf: Enrich, Energize, Empower, Engage, and Exercise. The clinic will culminate with a Q&A session and autograph opportunities.
“We’re excited to partner with PNC Bank to connect juniors and their families through golf,” said Tournament Director Matt Hilliker. “With a movie screening behind 18 green following the PNC Family Clinic, it’s a great opportunity for fans and local families to enjoy an entire day filled with golf and family-fun activities.”
The PNC Family Clinic is free to attend and will begin at 2:30pm on the back end of the driving range at Tiburón Golf Club. One parent or chaperon per junior participant will receive free general admission into the tournament on Saturday (with junior participant’s presence). Space is limited; therefore, advanced registration is required. No previous golf experience is necessary and equipment will be provided on-site for all participants.
