Eight nations to compete for second UL International Crown at Merit Club in July
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., APRIL 3, 2016 - After the conclusion of the ANA Inspiration, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced the eight countries that will compete in the second playing of the UL International Crown which will be held on July 21-24 at the Merit Club outside Chicago.
Based on the Rolex Women’s World Rankings, the eight countries that will compete in the second playing of the UL International Crown are - Republic of Korea, United States, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, England, China and Australia.
Team Australia was the last team in with 390 points, edging out ninth place Sweden by a mere eight points. The defending champions, Spain, did not qualify and finished in 11th place 96 points out of the final spot. A complete list of the top-10 countries and their points breakdown is attached.
Following the conclusion of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June, the four highest ranked players from each of the eight qualifying countries will make up their respective teams for the matches. The eight countries will be seeded #1 through #8, and they will be divided into two pools based on the cumulative team score of the four players’ Rolex World Rankings published after the conclusion of the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
Tickets for the UL International Crown can be ordered online at www.ULCrown.com. Daily tickets start at $20 with weekly tickets priced at $115. In addition, several all-inclusive ticket packages are available including an upgraded ticket option the International Pavilion located on the 15th hole. Children 17 and under receive complimentary admission to the Grounds and the International Pavilion with a paying adult holding the same ticket. Active, retired, and reserve military members and their dependents receive complimentary admission to the Grounds with a valid ID. Proceed to main gate to redeem the complimentary tickets.
