Experience is the fifth player for Team Chinese Taipei, who enjoys welcoming back three of four members from the 2014 playing of the UL International Crown. World No.25 Teresa Lu, No.37 Candie Kung and No.70 Yani Tseng will once again represent Chinese Taipei at the Merit Club outside Chicago. No.132 Ssu-Chia Cheng is the new member of the team, a rookie this year on the LPGA Tour who has made four cuts so this season with her best finish coming in a T-31 showing at the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
Tseng was paired with Phoebe Yao on day one of the 2014 four-ball matches and made some noise by taking down Team U.S.A’s Lexi Thompson and Stacy Lewis 1-UP. Lu and Kung were also paired together in the four-ball matches, going 1-2-0 for the week to earn two points for the team before falling on day three to Team Spain’s Belen Mozo and Beatriz Recari who went on to win the 2014 UL International Crown.
Team Chinese Taipei holds the No.5 seed of the eight teams qualified for this year’s competition and look to better their seventh place finish in 2014.
