Mi Hyang Lee began the day in fourth two shots off the lead and fired a 6-under-par, 66, to take a one-shot lead in the third round of the Manulife LPGA Classic.
Lee's putter was hot with six birdies and eagle on the day including three in a row on holes 11, 12 and 13 needing only 26 putts to complete the day.
“I made a lot of birdies today. I made six birdies and one eagle, but I didn't know that,” explained Lee. “So just when I checked my score at the score tent, it was a little amazing for me. And then everything is good, and then I think my chips better than maybe the last two days. So maybe I make a lot of save par. Yeah, that's better. Everything's good. Yeah.”
Fans can expect more of today when Lee tees it up Sunday for the final round.
Second-year member, Hyo Joo Kim, shot 4-under-par 68, to sit in second with five-time winner, Ariya Jutanugarn, and P.K. Kongkraphan in a share of third in a good position heading into to the final round.
“Yeah. I mean I'm not really worried about like leader,” explained Jutanugarn. “I feel like I want to be happy on the course, and tomorrow final day.”
