Stacy LewisThere’s something about playing in the Lone Star State that brings out the best in Stacy Lewis. The 2014 champion hasn’t finished outside the top-10 in this event and is hoping to kick start her season with a win this week at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout Presented by JTBC. Lewis currently has three top-10 finishes on the season and is looking to pick up her first win since her three-win season of 2014.
In Gee Chun
In Gee Chun has four top-3 finishes in five starts so far this season, Chun will be one to watch this week in her first start in Texas. Chun, the Tour’s leading rookie, is currently second in putting average and top-10 finishes percentage and third in scoring average.
Brooke Henderson
Brooke Henderson will be making her second appearance this week at in the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout Presented by JTBC. In 2015, Henderson earned one of the two qualifier spots by sinking a 15-footer in the four-way playoff needed to determine the last qualifier. Currently, Henderson is ranked first in Top 10 finishes percentage with eight top-10 finishes in her last eight starts, no question Henderson will be one to watch this week in Texas.
Suzann Pettersen
In Suzann Pettersen two starts in Texas, she has finished in the top-10. Pettersen is looking for her first win this year on Tour but has already picked up three top-10 finishes in seven starts.
Lee-Anne Pace
Building on her performance in San Francisco Lee-Anne Pace hopes to make it back into the winner’s circle this week at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout Presented by JTBC. She’ll have a chance if she can build on her runner-up finish at Swinging Skirt LPGA Classic Presented by CTBC.
Lexi Thompson
Already a winner in 2016, Lexi Thompson knows what it takes to hoist the trophy. In three starts in Texas Thompson has two top-10 finishes. She will be looking to build on her performance at last week’s Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic where she finished T-6. Thompson has five top-10 finishes, including a win at the Honda LPGA Thailand.
Gerina Piller
A crowd favorite, Gerina Piller is coming off a T-3 finish in San Francisco and is looking for her first win on Tour. She has a lot of momentum heading into this week with four top-10s in her last five starts.
Lee Lopez
Lee Lopez has made four cuts in seven starts on her rookie season and is looking to earn another paycheck with her first start in Texas. In 2015, she played in 23 Epson Tour events, the U.S. Women’s Open and the IGPM event in Mexico, finishing sixth on the Volvik Race for the Card money list and securing LPGA membership for the first time.
