In Kassidy Teare’s rookie season on Epson Tour, she looks to continue moving up the money list with another solid week. She is grouped with Margarita Ramos and Benyapa Niphatsophon in the opening rounds. This week, Ramos is making her fourth appearance at the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship and looks to improve on her best finish of T-44 which came in 2014.
After finishing as a bridesmaid in four of her 12 starts this season, Niphatsophon looks to step inside the winner’s circle. The Thailand native could move into the No. 1 spot on the Volvik Race for the Card money list, with a solid performance this week.
Desiree Dubreuil, Becca Huffer, Celine Boutier
Group 15 – 1st tee – 8:47 a.m.
Desiree Dubreuil is making her third start in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship; she looks to improve on her missed cuts in her two previous appearances. Dubreuil is paired with Becca Huffer and Celine Boutier in the first two rounds. This week, Huffer makes her fourth appearance in Battle Creek, her best finish of T-23 came in 2016. Fresh off a top-15, Green arrives in Battle Creek already a winner in 2017 after winning the Sara Bay Classic. She currently sits third on the Volvik Race for the Card money list with five top 10s on the season.
Chorphaka Jaengkit, Laura Wearn, Yu Liu
Group 34 – 10th – 1:04 p.m.
Chorphaka Jaengkit, already a winner in 2017 after winning the Decatur-Forsyth Classic, makes her first appearance in Battle Creek, Michigan. She will play alongside Laura Wearn and Yu Liu on Friday and Saturday. Wearn is coming off a season best runner-up finish at the Daniella Downey Credit Union Classic and looks to build on her solid play in Rochester.
Liu arrives in Battle Creek looking to become the second two-time winner in 2017; she is currently seventh on the Volvik Race for the Card money list. The third-year member has put herself in contention on more than occasion this year with five top 10s including a win at the Tullymore Classic.
Anne-Catherine Tanguay, Lindsey Weaver, Christine Song
Group 11 – 1st Tee - 8:25 a.m.
Anne-Catherine Tanguay looks to earn her first victory on the Epson Tour; she currently sits eighth on the Volvik Race for the Card money list with five top 10s in 12 starts this season. The Canadian is making her second appearance in Battle Creek where she finished T-23 in 2016.
She will play alongside rookie Lindsey Weaver and Christine Song in the opening rounds. Weaver has six top 10s in 12 starts this season and will be making her first appearance in Battle Creek. She is coming off a T-8 finish at the Daniella Downey Credit Union Classic and looks to build on her solid play in Rochester. In Song’s second appearance in Battle Creek, she looks to improve on her missed cut in 2016.
Victoria Morgan, Kaitlin Park, Madeleine Sheils
Group 47 – 1st tee – 2:21 p.m.
Victoria Morgan makes her first start in Battle Creek. She will play alongside Kaitlin Park and Madeleine Sheils in the opening rounds. This week, Park makes her first start in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship. Sheils has good memories to rely on this week in Battle Creek where she picked up her first Epson Tour victory in 2015. Sheils spend most of her time primarily on the LPGA Tour after earning conditional LPGA status at LPGA Qualifying Tournament in December of 2016. She has made nine starts on the LPGA and had her best finish of the year (T35) last week.
