Kristy McPherson, Allyssa Ferrell, Anne-Catherine Tanguay
Group 11 – 1st Tee - 8:25 a.m.
Kristy McPherson is making her first start at the Island Resort Championship. McPherson, with one top 10 on the season, is coming off a missed cut at the Decatur-Forsyth Classic and will play alongside Michigan native, Allyssa Ferrell and Canadian Anne-Catherine Tanguay. Ferrell’s making her second career start at this week’s event where she finished T-5 in her first appearance. Tanguay looks to earn her first victory on the Epson Tour, she currently sits fourth on the Volvik Race for the Card money list with five top 10s in eight starts this season. The Canadian is making her second appearance in Harris where she finished T-7 in 2015.
Sophia Popov, Selanee Henderson, Emma Talley
Group 14 – 10th Tee – 8:36 a.m.
In Sophia Popov’s second appearance at the Island Resort Championship, she looks to better her T-5 finish in 2016 and pick up her first win on the Epson Tour. She is grouped with Selanee Henderson and Emma Talley in the opening rounds. Henderson is making her six appearance this week in Harris with her best finish of T-73 coming in 2013. Talley is making her second start in Harris after finishing T-5 at the Decatur-Forsyth Classic her fifth top 10 of the season.
Portland Rosen, Hannah Green and Lindsey Weaver
Group 33 –1st Tee - 1:04 p.m.
In Portland Rosen’s second appearance at the Island Resort Championship, she looks to improve on her T-40 finish in 2016. Rosen will play alongside rookies Hannah Green and Lindsey Weaver in the first two rounds. Weaver has four top 10s in 10 starts this season and will be making her first appearance in Harris. Green is making her first start in Harris after finishing in a tie for third at last week’s Decatur-Forsyth Classic. With half the season under her belt she is currently fifth on the Volvik Race for the Card money list.
Hye-Min Kim, Veronica Felibert, Kendall Dye
Group 34 – 10th Tee - 1:04 p.m.
Hye-Min Kim arrives in Harris already a winner in 2017 after winning the POC Med Golf Classic. She is making her fifth start at the Island Resort Championship with her best finish of T-18 coming in 2016. Kim will play alongside Veronica Felibert and Kendall Dye on Friday and Saturday. This week, Felibert is making her fourth appearance in Harris with her best finish of T-5 coming last year. After missing the cut in three of four events in April and May, Dye has finished inside the top 15 in three straight starts including a win at the Four Winds Invitational. She looks build on her solid play in hopes of picking up her second win in 2017.
Benyapa Niphatsophon, Erynne Lee, Augusta James
Group 35 – 1st Tee – 1:15 p.m.
Benyapa Niphatsophon sits third in the Volvik Race for the Card at the halfway point of the season with her strong start in 2017. She arrives in Harris coming off a T-4 finish at the Decatur-Forsyth Classic and looks to build on her solid performance. Niphatsophon is paired with Erynne Lee and Augusta James in the first two rounds. This week, Lee’s making her second start in Harris where she finished T-11 in 2016. James returns to action this week where she makes first start since finishing T-11 at the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic in May.
