Nelly Korda also moves inside the top 200 players in the world and is the 34th top-ranked American behind Annie Park and Juli Inkster. Since the start of the 2016 season, Nelly has played in a total of 23 events on the Epson and LPGA Tour and has eight top-10 finishes including a win on the Epson Tour at the 2016 Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge.
Other Notable Moves
Solheim Cup
Georgia Hall finished T3 in the most recent event on the Ladies European Tour (LET) schedule and passes Mel Ried at the top of the points list in the race to qualify for Team Europe; she is close to securing her spot to represent Europe in Des Moines, Iowa.
In her third year on the Ladies European Tour (LET), Hall has two primary goals for 2017, qualifying for the Solheim Cup and winning a tournament.
“The Solheim Cup is probably my biggest goal this year and towards the end of last year as well, to get up the rankings, and to win on the LET is obviously big for me, because I’ve been close a few times,” said Hall during the recent interview at the World Ladies Championship.
Hall said she enjoys playing on American courses, having played in the U.S. Women’s Open, ANA Inspiration, PING Junior Solheim Cup and Curtis Cup on U.S. soil and is motivated by the opportunity to play for the first-time captain, Annika Sorenstam.
“I’ve never met Annika Sorenstam but she’s been my female idol growing up, and the way she played was incredible,” said Hall. “When I heard that she was the captain this time, I thought, I’ve got to try my best to get into that team because it’s amazing just to play in The Solheim Cup but for her to be the captain as well does add a bit of a bonus for me.”

Race to the CME Globe
Anna Nordqvist made the biggest jump in this week’s Race to the CME Globe standings moving up 34 spots to the third position after shooting a course-record 61 in the third round. Nordqvist held off In Gee Chun, Stacy Lewis and Ariya Jutanugarn to capture her first title of 2017.
The Race to the CME Globe is in the fourth year, and we’ve already seen players jockey for the top spot. With four top-10s, including runner-up finishes at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup and ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, Ariya Jutanugarn has taken over the top.
The top five finishers entering Naples control their destiny at the CME Group Tour Championship, meaning if they win in Naples, they will also win the CME Globe, but the top twelve finishers will have a mathematical chance at winning the CME Globe.
Jutanugarn (1), Jang (2), Nordqvist (3), Inbee Park (4), Brittany Lincicome (5), Lewis (6), Amy Yang (7), So Yeon Ryu (8), Lexi Thompson (9), Chun (10), Moriya Jutanugarn (11) and Pornanong Phatlum (12) make up the top-12.
