BIRMINGHAM, Ala – Brooke Henderson has withdrawn from the 2018 U.S. Women’s Open conducted by the USGA. Henderson, already a winner in 2018 at the LOTTE Championship presented by Hershey, posted a one-over par, 73 at Shoal Creek on Thursday. Friday, the following statement was released by the USGA in regards to Henderson’s decision:
Brooke Henderson has withdrawn from the 2018 U.S. Women’s Open Championship on Friday, June 1, due to personal reasons and is headed home to be with her family in Ottawa. She withdrew prior to her second round of play.
