If there is anyone on the LPGA that has the talent to match what Annika Sorenstam did on March 16, 2001 at the Standard Register PING, it's Ariya Jutanugarn.
The No. 2 ranked player in the world made five birdies over her first seven holes to open the final round at the Meijer LPGA Classic on Sunday and then made eagle on eight to turn in 29. Jutanugarn then made birdies on 11 and 14 to get to 9-under for the day.
She had to make four birdies over her final four holes to accomplish the unthinkable, but settled for one more birdie on the par-5 16th to finish with a bogey-free 10-under, 62, the best round of her LPGA career.
Jutanugarn started the day in a tie for 56th at 5-under and ended at 15-under with a realistic chance for a top 10 result.
The 54-hole leaders were just through two holes when Jutanugarn finished.
