Danielle Kang withdrew from the Meijer LPGA Classic on Thursday during her first round citing personal reasons. Kang played 11 holes.
There was no further information provided immediately.
Overnight on Thursday, Kang posted on Twitter that she will be back next week. Kang's management team at IMG also confirmed to LPGA.com that she is expected to return next week.
Kang is currently No. 20 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings and is expected to defend her KPMG Women's PGA Championship title from a year ago in two weeks.
