There is only one way to celebrate earning one of two spots in the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic through the Monday Qualifier.
Find a cheesehead and snap a photo for social media.
That's exactly what Klara Spilkova of the Czech Republic did. After firing a 4-under, 68 on Monday afternoon at Thornberry Creek, Spilkova found a cheesehead to commemorate and announce that she earned a spot in the field.
Jimin Kang of the Republic of Korea earned the second spot by carding a 3-under, 69.
There were 21 players in the Monday Qualifier vying for the two spots.
Spilkova competed in the KPMG Women's PGA Championship last week, but missed the cut with rounds of 77-75. This will be her fourth start on the LPGA this year. The 23 year old won on the Ladies European Tour in 2017 at the Lalla Meryem Cup.
Meanwhile, Kang is a two-time winner on the LPGA with her last coming in 2010 at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. This will also be Kang's fourth start of the season.
Gabby Curtis carded a 2-under, 70 and came up a shot short of qualifying.
