Pajaree Anannarukarn, Linnea Strom, Pavarisa Yoktuan
8:14 a.m. – 1st Tee
Pajaree Anannarukarn will be making her first start this week in the Island Resort Championship. The Thai native has four top-10s in seven starts with her best result a runner-up finish at the IOA Invitational in May. She sits No. 7 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings and looks to continue moving up the money list. This week, Anannarukarn will play alongside Linnea Strom and Pavarisa Yoktuan in the opening rounds.
Strom makes her first start in Harris after coming off a T-36 finish in the Forsyth Classic. Her best result this season came at the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic in May where she finished in a tie for third.
Yoktuan is making her second start in the Island Resort Championship. The last time she played in Harris was 2016 when she finished T-5.
Elizabeth Nagel, Ruixin Liu, Isi Gabsa
8:36 a.m. – 10th tee
Elizabeth Nagel arrives a local favorite and would love nothing more than to pick up her first Epson Tour win in her home state. Her best result this season came at the inaugural Valley Forge Invitational in May where she finished T-17. She is grouped with Ruixin Liu and Isi Gabsa in the first two rounds.
Liu comes to Sweetgrass Golf Club with a lot of great memories from 2017, from her 65 in the opening round to her runner-up finish in the rain-shortened event. Watch out for Liu as she continues to climb the money list.
Volvik Race for the Card No. 5 Gabsa arrives in Harris already a winner in 2018 after winning the Forsyth Classic; she has two additional top-10s this season and looks to go back-to-back and become the first to earn a second victory at this week’s Island Resort Championship.
Jenny Haglund, Hyemin Kim, Stephanie Kono
1:15 p.m. – 10th tee
Jenny Haglund arrives in Harris looking to become the first two-time winner of the season. In seven starts, the Sweden native has put herself in contention on more than one occasion this year with four top-10s, including a win at the Epson Classic. She currently had a lock on the top spot in the Volvik Race for the Card standing. She is grouped with Hyemin Kim and Stephanie Kono in the opening rounds.
Kim is making her sixth start in the Island Resort Championship with her best finish of T-18 coming in 2016. Rounding out the group is Stephanie Kono, who has one top 15 this year. Kono’s best finish at the Island Resort Championship is a T-9 in 2014.
Leona Maguire, Sadena Parks, August Kim
1:37 p.m – 1st Tee
Last week Leona Maguire made her Epson Tour debut at the Forsyth Classic where she finished T-3, this week she is making her first start in the Island Resort Championship. The recent Duke University graduate will play alongside Sadena Parks and August Kim in the opening rounds.
Parks will be making her third start in Harris and looks to improve on her runner-up finish in 2014. This week Kim makes her second start in Harris after coming off a T-29 finish at the Forsyth Classic.
