Ariya Jutanugarn's game translates to any course in the world.
After a 4-under, 67 on day one at Gullane Golf Club, Jutanugarn was early out on day two and handed in a bogey-free 6-under, 65 to get to 10-under through two rounds.
"I'm a little surprised because I didn't play golf for like two weeks," said Jutanugarn, who spent the last two weeks before the Ladies Scottish Open in Bangkok. "I didn't practice at all, and I don't really like windy or links courses. I feel like after two rounds 10-under is pretty good."
Jutanugarn has made 11 birdies against just one bogey through two rounds. She has made birdie on two of the three par 5 holes in each of her rounds.
Jutanugarn, the current No. 3 ranked player in the world, is projected to move to No. 1 with a victory. She could also climb back to No. 1 with a second place finish, depending on where Sung Hyun Park finishes. Park is currently 8-under through two rounds.
"I don't know about winning, but I feel pretty good for myself. Because like links course I've been playing pretty good for two rounds."
Jutanugarn already has two wins this year including the U.S. Women's Open. She leads the Tour in just about every major statistical category including money earned, Race to the CME Globe, scoring average, total birdies and putting average.
