The number three ranked American in the world, Stacy Lewis, has withdrawn from the Honda LPGA Thailand due to strained ribs. She will fly back to the United States to rest and will therefore also miss next week's HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore.
LPGA.com has learned through Lewis' representation that she expects to make a full recovery and will likely miss just the two events. Lewis expects to return at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup in Phoenix, Arizona March 15-18.
The 32-year-old is a 12-time winner on the LPGA. She started 2018 with a T66 in the Bahamas and did not play in Australia last week.
Peiyun Chien replaces Lewis in the Honda LPGA Thailand.
