Morgan Pressel once again outdid herself.
Monday, the major champion hosted her 11th annual Morgan & Friends Tournament where she broke her previous record with $1,010,622 raised for breast cancer research. With the help of seven of her fellow LPGA professionals who took part in the event – Brooke Henderson, Paula Creamer, Lexi Thompson, Gerina Piller, Brittany Lincicome, Cristie Kerr and So Yeon Ryu – she increased her total to $7.5 million dollars raised by the Morgan Pressel Foundation to fight breast cancer.
This year, Pressel’s goal was to raise enough funds to provide upgrades to the MammoVan, which has been in operation since 2010 and provides mammograms to women throughout South Florida.
